This course is aimed at those carrying out manual handling activities at work, including both industrial and office environments. This course aims to reduce the risk of injury for anyone who carries out manual handling tasks.

Who should attend

It is aimed at those who carry out manual handling activities within their place of work and introduces clients to the hazards of manual handling, the risks involved and controls available and what to expect from a manual handling assessment. Successful completion will prepare clients to look carefully at their own work activities and contribute to the development of safer methods and tasks, in co-operation with their managers and supervisors.

Course outcome:

The course will deal with all aspects of manual handling and will include some actual lifting techniques. Clients will be asked to complete 20 objective test questions to ascertain complete understanding of topic.
